Data Deletion

You can disconnect your Instagram account or delete your entire BookVoya account and data at any time.

If you arrived here from Instagram: the app you connected is listed on Meta as BooVoya, and this is it. Meta does not permit the term “book” in an app’s display name, so the Instagram integration carries the shorter name while the service itself is BookVoya. Same company, same data, and the deletion steps below cover both.

Disconnect Instagram only

Open your BookVoya dashboard → Settings → Instagram, and click "Disconnect". This immediately deletes the stored access token for that account; BookVoya stops receiving new messages from it right away.

Delete your full account

To permanently delete your BookVoya account — including your artist profile, booking records, client messages, and any connected Instagram data — send a deletion request:

1. We verify the request comes from the account owner. Sending from the email address on the account is enough. If you no longer control that address, write from any address and we will ask you for another way to prove the account is yours before we delete anything — we will not delete an account on an unverified request.
2. We permanently delete the artist account, booking/conversation records, and any stored Instagram access token within 30 days.
3. We confirm completion by email to the address you contacted us from.

What gets deleted

• Artist account and login credentials
• Stored Instagram access token and connection record
• Instagram comments received on your posts, and their reply drafts
• Client booking and conversation history tied to your account

What we keep, and why

A few things survive deletion, and only for as long as the law requires:

• Invoices and accounting records — 5 years under Turkish tax law, but only if you actually made a payment.
• Backups — we keep 14 rolling copies of the database and uploaded files. Your deleted data ages out of those within that cycle. We do not restore deleted data from a backup except to recover from a failure.

Deleting a client's data instead of your own

If one of your clients asks you to delete their data, you can remove their record from your dashboard yourself — you are the controller of your clients' data and we act on your instructions. See the Data Processing Terms. If you need help, write to us.
